The Kentucky State Fair Board has released new guidelines for the World’s Championship Horse Show Advisory Committee
The new guidelines state:
Membership shall consist of the following:
Three (3) members appointed by the American Saddlebred Horse Association (ASHA).
Three (3) members from the United Professional Horseman’s Association (UPHA) and they shall represent the three (3) divisions: Saddlebreds, Hackney and Roadster.
The Kentucky State Fair Board Member representing Equine will Chair the Advisory Committee.
The Kentucky Venues President/CEO, KSFB In-House Committee Chair, the Executive Director of Expositions, the Executive Director of ASHA and the Manager of the World’s Championship Horse Show will all serve as non-voting members.
Appointed members shall serve a three (3) year term representing their respective Associations
The respective Associations (ASHA & UPHA) members shall initially be appointed as follows: one (1) to a one (1) year term, one (1) to a two (2) year term, and one (1) to a three (3) year term. Subsequent appointments shall be for three (3) year terms.
Only those appointed members representing the ASHA, UPHA, and the Committee Chair may discuss or vote on any matter presented to the Advisory Committee. Attendance shall be in person or via conference call.
Upon completion of a member’s term, they must sit out one (1) year before consideration for reappointment by their respective Associations.
Term and membership shall run on a calendar year basis.
The new appointed World’s Championship Horse Show Advisory Committee for 2017 includes:
David Rudder—3 Year Term
Bret Day—2 Year Term
Elisabeth Goth—1 Year Term
John Conatser (American Saddlebred representative)—3 Year Term
Melissa Moore (Roadster representative)—2 Year Term
Maureen Campbell (Hackney representative)—1 Year Term
