The Boone County Fair and Utopia Horse Show

The 85th Boone County Fair and Utopia Horse Show was held August 9-12 at the Boone County Fairgrounds in Burlington, Kentucky. Held over a four night period, the show was once again expertly managed by Larry Burcham along with his brothers and staff.

Boone County is home to one of the nicest fairgrounds in the state, as it is always kept clean and manicured with great barns and facilities for exhibitors and visitors alike. Just off the interstate south of Cincinnati, the Boone County Fair has been voted an "All Kenucky Fair" by the Kentucky Department of Agriculture for a number of years.

With evening classes and academy showing on Saturday morning, folks had time to see and enjoy all that northern Kentucky has to offer.

The show staff expressed their appreciation to people for coming and supporting their show, an important one on the circuit, as it is the last stop for qualification points in the Kentucky Association of Fairs and Horse Shows system, as well as those for the South Central Hackney Association. The judge for this year's show was Randy Harper. Photography was done by Jacobs Photography

A true county fair and horse show, the Boone County Fair is an FFA stronghold, bringing in over $170,000 in educational monies for their efforts in breeding and raising this champion stock of beef and hogs.
