Long time friend, Kim Skipton, had this to say about Jamie: Jamie had a huge heart for people and animals alike. She was an extremely generous person and supported many animal rescues. She adored both her children and was a devoted mother to not only them but to all the kids in her neighborhood. She had the quintessential “fun” house where everyone wanted to gather. I spent a lot of time traveling to horse shows with Jamie and her mother, Jean McLean Davis, and we had a lot of fun. One of our favorite shows was Devon. Jamie, like George Knight, loved eating at the best restaurants and the two of them would always find the best places to eat at every show. Jamie loved the fine harness mare RWC Dear Amelia almost as much as her beloved WC CH Rob Shriver. She was thrilled when she won two classes with Dear Amelia at Lexington Junior League.
