Henry McLees Jumper, Sr., 87

 

 Henry McLees Jumper, Sr., 87, passed away on Thursday, April 5, 2018. Born on December 27, 1930 in Gaston County, NC, Henry was the son of the late William Clifton Jumper and Mary Wilson Jumper.

 Henry graduated from Clemson University with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He served in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict. Henry was the Co-Founder and General Manager of Carolina Filters (later Champion Labs). A longstanding member of Union Presbyterian Church, Henry was Elder Emeritus. He had a passion for his family, church, gardening, horses and his farm. An avid Clemson fan, Henry was a Past President of the American Saddlebred Association of the Carolinas. He also served two terms as Vice President of the American Saddlebred Horse Association.

 Henry is survived by his beloved wife, Rita; sons, Mack, Cliff (Sharon) and Daniel; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

 Funeral was held on April 10, 2018 in the rotunda of Union Presbyterian Church. Burial with military honors was followed in the Union Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
