James Robert “Bobby” Morrison, 69
Bobby Morrison, 69, of Olive Hill, KY, passed away Friday, October 20, 2017 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington, KY. He was born January 20, 1948 in Logan, WV; a son of the late Luther and Mildred Chambers Morrison.
Bobby proudly served in the United States Army during the Vietnam Conflict. He was self-employed as a Horse-Trainer. He was a past member of the American Saddlebred Horse Association, past member of the United Professional Horseman’s Association and past president of the Golden American Saddlebred Horse Association. He was a member of the Three Pines Freewill Baptist Church in Olive Hill.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by three brothers, Lewie, Grady and Marvin Morrison.
He is survived by a son, Jimmy (Georgia) Morrison of Nitro, WV; a daughter, Laura (Jeff) McDowell of Grayson, KY; fiancée, Cierae Endsley, of Olive Hill; a brother, Leonard (Emma Lee) of Culloden, WV; two sisters, Renatha Woodard of Milton, WV and Dorothy Rodriguez of Sulphur, LA; three grandchildren, Melanie, Mason, and Ava; and a host of extended family, friends and neighbors.
Funeral services were Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at the Sparks Funeral Home in Grayson, Gary Sparks, minister. Burial followed in the KY Veterans Cemetery North East following military honors by the Kenova American Legion Post 93.
